JEWISH REFUGEES

DOCTORS FROM BERLIN ONE TO STUDY IN DUNEDIN (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, Jan. 12. Among the 11 Jewish refugees from Germany and Austria who arrived in the motor ship Maetsuycker to-day were two Berlin doctors, Dr J. Weiser, accompanied by his wife, and Dr D. Kaiiman, travelling alone, who will study for three years at the Otago Medical School to qualify for practice in New Zealand.

Two other -refugees were for New Zealand, the others proceeding to Sydney. All were reticent. One said he left Germany in September. “A lot may have happened since then, and x-eally I have forgotten what conditions in September were like ” he added with a smile.
