CITY POLICE COURT

Thursday, January 12 (Before Mr H. W. Bundle. S.M, Drunkenness Daniel Patrick Russell, who was stated by the police to have been convicted on a similar charge on the previous day. pleaded guilty to a charge of drunkenness—The magistrate stood the case down to allow the defendant to take out a prohibition order and after this had been done fined him £1 2s 6d. in default 48 hours’ imprisonment. A Serious Charge Vernon Arnold Watson, aged 26 years, was charged with having indecently assaulted a girl eight years of age.—After medical evidence had been tendered by Dr Harty. the accused was remanded in custody until January 19.
