RETURN AFTER TEN YEARS Although it is almost 10 years since the Great Nicola made his last appearance here, he is still remembered for many of his magical feats. What was regarded as one of the greatest mysteries of all times was Nicola s substitution trunk mystery, where Nicola sewed his girl assistant in a black sack and then placed her inside a trunk. A committee from the audience locked the trunk and securely bound it with a long rope. They had no sooner finished the roping, when a voice from inside the trunk called “ Let me out,” the trunk was opened, the. sack cut. and out jumped Nicola. What befell the assistant the audience has never been able to ascertain. It is understood that Nicola's preseru programme is almost entirely new, and many illusions and magical effects will be presented for the first time in this country “ Vivisection.” the Chinese surgical mystery: “ Biff-baff. the French Moroccon enigma; ’Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and Nicola’s latest version of the Great Indian Hope Trick are but a few of them. , Nicola is bringing an entirety new company of international performers that he has gathered from all parts of the world, and will open his engagement here at His Majesty's Theatre on Wednesday next.
