TO THE EDITOR Sir—Not only does Mr Webb blame the depression for the shortage of skilled artisans, but oh all and every possible, occasion all members of the nresent Government, especially Mr Savage,, also blame past Governments for, any fault in our economic system As “Worker” says in to-day’s issue, the union, secretaries are to blame foi the fact that. there are too few experienced artisans'to-day, and the members of the present Government always supported the unions. The employers appealed time and again, for the right to have a greater proportion of apprentices than was allowed, and such a course woUld have avoided the present unfortunate position. In blaming past Governments, the present Labour men know that they are" pleasing their unthinking supporters.’ who will ultimately be disillusioned.—l am,, etc., * Another Worker, January 10. •
