“The engagement is announced between Laurie Sainsbury, only son of Mrs Shaw, of Clyde Hill, Dunedin, and Amanda (Ada) Smith, of Dunedin, formerly of Milton.
The engagement is announced between Maurice Thomas Franklin, younger son of Mrs G. L. Devereux, of Christchurch, and the late Mr J. R. Devereux, and Endora Selina, second daughter of Mr and Mrs W. E. de-C. Hughes, of Christchurch, formerly of North Otago.
The engagement is announced between Francis William, eldest son of Mr and Mrs James Guest, of Balclutha, and Kathleen Margaret. (Peggy), eldest daughter of Mrs K. C. Peacock, of Auckland, and the late Mr H. M. Peacock (Masterton).
