ST. MARY'S CHURCH
SPECIAL SERVICE ATMOSGIEL There was a large attendance at midnight Mass in St. Mary's Church, Mosgiel, on Christmas Eve. The Rev. D. H. J. O'Neill sang a Missa Cantata. Prior to midnight, some Christmas hymns were sung by the choir. The offertory was the favourite "Adeste Fideles." In the evening a programme of Christmas music was sung prior to the benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. The Rev. Father Phillips, CM., preached on the festival of Christmas. The service closed with the hymn "See Amid the Winter Snow."
