RIFLE SHOOTING

DUNEDIN DEFENCE CLUB The Dunedin Defence Rifle Club fired the final competition for President W. Bannerman's prizes on Saturday afternoon. There was an attendance of 15. and seven shots with two optional sighters were fired at 500 and 600 yards. Weather conditions were fair, but a changeable light and variable wind required care. The highest score at 500 yards was 34 by W. T. G. Facer. C. J. Gamble, and R. McKeich, the first-named taking pride of place with a five-bull finish. R. McKeich topped the list at 600 yards with 34, and headed the day's aggregate with 68. The competition was won by R. McKeich. The following were the highest scores and aggregates:— SCORES
