SUNDAY SERVICES

The services at Knox Church this Sunday will be conducted by the Rev. D. C. Herron, M.A., whose evening subject will be “Men Who Don’t Turn 'Back.”

At First Church to-morrow the Rev. W, Allen Stevely, M.A., Dip. Ed., will conduct both services. In the morning his subject will be “God’s Care," and in the evening! “ Fear Not.” The evening music will include the anthem, “Holy, Holy, Holy,” and the solo, “ Lead, Kindly Light.” Miss Mavis Macdonald will be at the organ. Mr Mclndoe will be the morning preacher at the Methodist Central Mission, Octagon Hall, to-morrow. In the evening at 6.30 the Rev. J. R. Metcalfe, Solomon Islands, will tell of Methodism in the Solomon Islands. A duet will be rendered by Misses Ann White.and Gertrude Nelson, and a solo by Mr Walter Mitchell.

At the Theosophical Society Mr J. M. McEwan will be tile speaker, and his subject will be “The Golden Stairs,” dealing with the pathway to the true Yoga. At St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church the subject at the evening service will be, “All Things New,” and the subject in the evening, “Greater Things.” At both services the Rev. Thomas Miller will be the preacher. The services at the Hanover Street Baptist Church will be conducted by. the Rev, J. Ewen Simpson, who will speak in-the morning on “The Assured Presence,” and in the evening on “ The Worth of a Man.” In the evening the introit: will be “Sanctus,” the hymn - study, “ Who Could it Be? ” and the anthem, “ Rejoice in the Lord Always.” Dr J. M. Moorey, who is returning to Melbourne next Friday, will ocliver a valedictory'address at the Spiritualist Church, St. Andrew street, to-mor-row evening. The service will be shared by local speakers. Dr Moorey will conduct the healing class on Monday evening. At the Salvation Army, Adjutant Victor Dick will be the leader at all services. At 11 a.m. the subject will be “Streams of Living Waters”: at 3 p.m. there will be a praise and testimony service, and at 7 p.m. the subject will be “Tell Me.” At 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. young people’s services will be conducted by Y.P.S.M. Harford.

At the Greater World Spiritual Mission, at the service at 6.30, the subject will be “The Psychology of Life.” Clairvoyance and after-circle will follow. The Wednesday psychometry circle will meet at 8 p.m. At the Congregational Church, Moray place, to-morrow, the Rev. J, H. Harris, late of the Clapton Congregational Church, England, will conduct both morning and evening services. At the evening service the choir will render the anthem “ O Day of Rest and Gladness.”

Foreign missionary anniversary services will be conducted at Trinity Methodist Church, Stuart street, tomorrow. the morning preacher being the Rev. J, R, Metcalfe, who was for 18 years a missionary in the Solomon Islands. In the evening the Rev. Basil Metson will be the preacher. The choir will sing an anthem. The offerings are in aid of the Solomon Islands Mission.

The Rev, C. G. Hedley Bycroft will conduct to-morrow’s services at the United Congregational Church, Albany street. “ The Kind of Man Needed To-day” will be the subject at the 'morning service, and in the evening “The Hearing Ear and the Seeing Eye.”
