POLITICAL PROPAGANDA ON STATE BUILDINGS

TO THE EDITOR

Sir, —In recent months there has been erected a rough corrugated iron garage on railway property in Sawyers’ Bay. This garage houses a motor truck used in the quarry there and took two and on occasions three men a month to build! Rather ironically we find a poster: “Retain the key to Prosperity—Vote Labour ” placarded across the door of this garage. But what I wish to know is, is this use of Government "buildings” as hoarding boards for political propaganda permissible? Evidently the principles practised by Mr Scrimgeour are being pursued in other departments of the Government service.—l am, etc., Not Deceived.
