YESTERDAY’S PROCEEDINGS LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL (Per United Press Association! WELLINGTON, Sept. 7. The Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m. The following local Bills were read a second time:—The Auckland Electric Power Board Amendment Bill, the Timaru Borough Empowering Bill, the Geraldine County River District Amendment Bill, the Ohai Railway Board Amendment Bill, and the Otago Harbour Board Empowering Bill. The Wellington City Empowering Amendment Bill and the Opunake Harbour Board Bill were read a "rst time. The Council adjourned at 3.28 p.m.
