A BASE AT CANTON r EXPERIMENTAL FLIGHTS HONOLULU, July IPIt is disclosed that Pan-American Airways is sending a surface craft to Phoenix Island in the autumn to prepare a base at Canton for the antipodes airlin'e. Experiments: flights will take place before the end of the year, but the service willno* commence until the spring.
