QUESTION OF RECOGNITION POSITION OF THE DOMINIONS LONDON, July 1. The Australian Associated says that it is hoped in London that if Italy implements the AngloItalian agreement by the early withdrawal of volunteers from Spain, the dominions will agree simultaneously with Britain to concede de jure recognition of Abyssinia as a gesture of Empire unity. It is understood that South Africa will be agreeable to recognition, and it is believed that Australia will fall in line with Britain, but New Zealand’s attitude is undefined.
