THE WHALING INDUSTRY

NEED OF CONSERVATION STATEMENT AT CONFERENCE LONDON, June 14. In opening the International Whaling Conference, at which New Zealand and Australia were among the 15 countries represented, Mr W S. He added that, despite last year’s agreement, 8000 more whales were killed than in the previous year. The conference will urge other Governments to join the agreement.
