Reports ot meetings ol branches are requested, but they should be furnished promptly lor the publication of reports that are not supplied within a week from the date of the meeting cannot be promised The June meeting of the Middlemarch branch was held on Thursday last, Mrs Brenssell presiding. An interesting demonstration on the making of wood-fibre (lowers was given by Mrs Brens:ell and Miss Beattie. Mrs Renwick and Mrs Brensell gave a report on the W.D.F.U. Conference held in Dunedin recently The results of the competitions were:—Senior’ Shortbread—Mrs J. Howell 1. Junior; An article knitted from one skein of wool —Miss F. Robson 1. Miss P. Howell 2.
