HOCKEY
OTAGO ASSOCIATION A meeting of the Otago Hockey Association was held last evening, Mr T. H. Mulholland occupying the chair. 'j PRIMARY SCHOOLS Mr A. Hanna, representing the Otago State Primary Schools’ Sports Association, said some senior players would probably have some sticks which they did not use, and these would be very welcome for the use of primary schoolboys not in a position to provide themselves with sticks. He; asked that clubs should endeavour to help in this direction. He went on to say that there were boys in some schools where hockey was not played who would play the game if the opportunity were afforded. If there were any undertaking that coaching .would be available for such boys means might be found of drawing such boys into the game. The chairman suggested that the clubs should be asked what sticks' could be provided, and asked if Mr Hanna could advise the association how many boys from schools where hockey was not played would take up, the game if a suitable scheme were put forward. The chairman’s suggestion regarding sticks was adopted, and the other matter was left in the hands of Mr Hanna. REPRESENTATIVE TEAMS The senior and junior selectors(Messrs E. D. Brown and A. C.
