TWO PROFESSIONAL CONTESTS »' —— The Otago Boxing Association has arranged two professional contests for to-night at the Town Hall, and in view of Clarrie Marshall’s showing at Auckland last Monday, when he outpointed Cyril Pluto, his 12round contest with Stan, Jenkin is attracting much interest. In his amateur and professional career Marshall has beaten some of the best men of his weight in the Dominion, and should provide Jenkin with a hard contest Among Marshall’s victims have been George McKay, F Mclvtr. R. Reid (now meeting with success in Australia), and George Low (who won the New Zealand amateur middle-weight title in 1935) Marshall is a solid puncher, with a long list of victories. The main bout will be preceded by a 10-round professional bout between Lex Greaney. of Dunedin, and Jim Mitchell, of Christchurch, and there will also be a four-round amateur preliminary between Neil Leckie (Dunedin) and B.
