rpUAPEKA COUNTY. BROWN’S RIDING RATEPAYERS. To all those Ratepayers who voted and placed me in the honourable position at the top of the Poll in Wednesday’s contest I tender my very sincere Thanks. It is indeed very gratifying to me to find that after over eight years as "your representative on the Council I still retain the confidence of the majority of the Ratepayers of Brown’s Riding. In the future, as in the past, it shall be my endeavour to serve all parts of the Riding in that same fair and impartial manner as has been my custom in the past. Until such times as those outlying settlers who have had to contend with clay roads for over half a century are provided with all-weather roads Ratepayers cannot look for much relief in the way of a reduction in Rates, and probably a slight increase may be necessary so that this work may be carried out as expeditiously as possible. Once again extending Thanks and assuring you of continued interest in all matters pertaining to the Riding’s welfare. Yours faithfully, R. C. HALL.
