BOY FATALLY INJURED CAUGHT BETWEEN LORRY AND MILK FLOAT (Per United Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, May 12. ■ Fatal injuries were received by a 13-year-old schoolboy, Donald vor, son of Mr C. V. Mavor, of New Plymouth, when he was caught be-, tween a lorry and a milk float which collided at a street intersection at 7 o’clock this morning. The boy was riding a bicycle and was clingT ing to the side of the float. Neither: vehicle suffered much damage, though the lorry swerved on to the;' footpath. ' . RUN OVER BY TRAIN (Per United Press Association) WANGANUI, May 12. % A woman was run over by a train near the Grey street crossing atabout 11 o’clock last night, and was, later identified as Myrtle Perrett, single, daughter of Mrs T. K. Perrett, of Wanganui. The deceased was employed at Drew’s jewellery shop for many years. How she came to be in that locality on the line has not been ascertained. FALL FROM CYCLE When he fell from his cycle h,v Arthur street yesterday morning,, Gordon Jowsey, a youth who lives, at 173 Taieri road, suffered head injuries. He was admitted to Hos-; pital at 9 o’clock. A FRACTURED ANKLE Through falling from a bridge;' while working at Deep Stream yesterday Walter Hanger, who lives at, 85 Dalgety street, suffered a fractured right ankle. He was admitted to Hospital at 10.20 a.m.
