GERMAN CONFISCATION DECREE
A PROTEST FROM AMERICA
WASHINGTON. May 11
(Received May 12. at 5.5 p.m.) The United States sent a Note to Germany emphatically protesting against the Jewish property decree as violating the American and German commercial treaty of 1923, under which nationals are assured of the right to hold properly in each other’s country, irrespective of race or creed The Note concludes with a request for an early reply giving assurances that the measure will not be applied to American citizens
