BRITAIN AND EIRE

TRADE TALKS CONTINUED DELEGATES IN LONDON (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, Mar. 3. Mr de Valera returned to London accompanied by other Ministers to resume conversations with the United Kingdom Ministers. If the present rate of progress with the trade talks continues, ,Mr de Valera and his colleagues may leave London on Friday night. It is understood that to-day's discussions ranged over a wide field, including partition, defence, trade, and finance. It is believed that on the partition question there was /no change in the position of the two sides, which already has been made clear. v A trade agreement has not yet been reached, and discussions on this matter will continue to-morrow. In well-informed quarters no breakdown in the negotiations is anticipated. The Ministers on both sides concerned with trade also held a meeting to-day; It is now stated that Mr de Valera and his M inisters .will remain in London over the weekend.
