FRENCH FORTIFICATIONS
MAGINOT LINE IMPREGNABLE WAR MINISTER’S REPORT PARIS, Dec. 1. The War Minister, M. Daladier, after an inspection of France’s fortifications, reported to the Chamber of Deputies that the Maginot line was impregnable, but it would be necessary for strong mechanised forces to counter-attack should the enemy break through the northwest frontier.
