UNLICENSED BROADCASTS

STEPS FOR SUPPRESSION ANOTHER GERMAN DECREE BERLIN, Nov. 30. (Received Dec. 1, at 5.5 p.m.) Herr Hitler, in an effort to purge the air, signed a decree stating that unlicensed broadcasts will be punishable by penal servitude, and if hostile to the Nazis punishable by death. The decree is the result of a secret “ German liberty transmitter,” which a Nazi station near Berlin tries to jam every night, but owing to changes in the waver length the jamming is not always effective, and anti-Nazi criticism can be heard.
