BALCLUTHA Personal Mr T. V. Pearson, second son of Mr and Mrs T. D. Pearson, of Balclutha, has been appointed to the stair of the Anglican parish of Masterton, and will be ordained at Palmerston North on December 19 by the Bishop of Wellington. Mr Pearson has been studying for the ministry at Selwyn College for several years. Whitebait Run For some days past whitebait have been running very freely in the Molyneux River, and good catches have been made in the vicinity of the town. Some great runs have been seen in the Koau branch near the Paretai punt. Unusual Visitor A young fallow deer Was seen very early in the morning recently in Clyde street by some residents, who were, however, unable to get Close enough to effect a capture.
