» t To mark the conclusion of the year's activities, members of the Mosgiel Musical Society were entertained by the president, Mr A. F. Cheyne, and i Miss Cheyne at a social in the Presby- i terian Church Hall on Tuesday last. During the evening an enjoyable musi- ] cal programme was contributed by Mrs ' E. McMillan, Mrs Murray Wilson, Miss Cheyne, Miss Hicks, Miss Hendry, Miss McGregor, Miss Owens, and Messrs J. Curran, C. Pearce, B. Wilkins, and D. Walls. Mr Cheyne took the opportunity of thanking all those who had helped with the society's recent con- f cert, and also conveyed the thanks of E the choir to the conductor (Mr R. D. Rogers) and to Miss Hendry, the pianist. He also presented Miss Hendry with a music-case as a token of the esteem in which she was held by all members of the Society's Choir. Mr I J.
