FISHING OFF THE NUGGETS

TO THE EDITOB Sir—Why is it that the fishing trawlers of Port Chalmers do not fish in a breeze when the Silver Crest can leave for the Nuggets and stay away three days, bringing in a freight of 30 cases? Now, if Mr Tullock, with his crew can fish at the Nuggets in a rough sea during the Labour weekend, when the National Mortgage Company's trawler would not venture out, I think these men are to be admired. What a great surprise to the fishermen of Port Chalmers when the boat arrived back safe and sound with its freight after causing a lot of anxiety.— I am, etc., M Admirer. Port Chalmers, Oct. 28.
