UNEXCITED BY FORTUNE

WOMAN INHERITS £66.000 Although she has just been left a £66,000 fortune, Mrs Ann Griffin, aged 69, of Westhoughton, near Bolton. Lancashire, has no intention of leaving the four-roomed cottage in which she has lived for 35 years. Her cousin, Miss Mary Brindle, a school teacher, who died in her house, has left her the money. Mrs Griffin is not at all excited. "At my time of life," she said, " I do not intend to go rushing about. My cousin and I went to school together and lived in this row of cottages. When my cousin retired she came back to me. "I shall not leave this district. I was born here and my father built these cottages. I hope to take a holiday in Ireland, but I shall return to |ive among my own people."
