“GALLOPING JACK” WEDS

Brighdier-general John R. (“Galloping Jack”) Royston, one of South Africa’s most colourful military personalities, has been married at the Emmanuel Cathedral, Durban, at the age of 77. His bride was a young English girl. Miss Mildred Standley. daughter of the late Mr John Wright Standley, of Alton, Hampshire, and of Mrs Standley, now in Australia. General Royston only recently returned from London where he accompanied the Natal Contingent to the Coronation.
