PARISH OF ST. JOHN

ANNUAL BAZAAR The annual bazaar and sale of work at St. John’s Church, Roslyn, was opened yesterday afternoon by Bishop Fitchett, who congratulated all concerned on the appearance of the stalls. He thanked the guilds for their work during the year, and all the other helpers who had come forward to arrange and run the other stalls in the bazaar. He commended the work to all parishioners, and hoped they would make the fixture a success. The various stalls and those assisting are as follows: — Women’s Afternoon Guild.—Mesdames Buchler, Fitchett, Moodie, Cookson, and Smith, Misses Inder and Harris. Women’s Evpning Guild—Mesdames Allen and Ross, Miss Chapman. Produce.—Mesdames Naylor, Bell, and Mowat, Miss Rackley. Cakes. —Mesdames Roy, Rolfe, Smith, and Armstrong. Sweets.—Misses Fitchett, Carter, Allen, and Baron. ' Tea Rooms.—Mesdames Chapman, Jenkin, Johnson, Cunninghame, Simpson, and Chase. Dips.—Mesdames Ferry and Inder. The bazaar will be open again this afternoon and evening. A short entertainment has been arranged for this evening by the scholars of the Sunday school, and last night the entertainments were in the hands of Mrs John Harms.
