OFFICIAL FORECAST FAIR TO FINE The following is the official weather forecast:— An anti-cyclone is moving eastwards off New Zealand, while a depression is advancing slowly across the Tasman Sea. Indications are for:— Winds—East to north-easterly at first over the northern half of the North Island, otherwise northerlies prevailing, light to moderate generally, but gradually freshening and becoming strong in places about and south of Cook Strait. Seas. —New Zealand waters: Rather rough to rough about Cook and Foveaux Straits; elsewhere slight to moderate, but later rising south of Cape Egmont. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate, but increasing northerly winds, backing to southerlies tci-night in the southern portion; seas slight to moderate, but rising. Weather.—Fair to fine generally at first, cloudy to overcast, however, and rain developing soon in western and southern portions of the South Island, and extending later northwards over districts with a westerly aspect; temperatures mild. WEATHER IN DUNEDIN The weather yesterday was again fine and warm, with brilliant sunshine. There was a light south-east breeze. The barometer showed a slight rising tendency, and the maximum temperature was 55 degrees. El OTHER CENTRES (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND,, Oct. 11. Generally cloudy weather ruled during the day. The conditions were fine, with a light northerly wind, and the temperatures warm, the maximum reading being 62 degrees. The barometer was steady at 5 p.m., the reading being 30.23 inches. WELLINGTON, Oct. 11. The weather to-day was fine and sunny, with a northerly breeze. The minimum temperature last night was 45.7 degrees, and the maximum today 60.9 degrees. CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 11. The weather was fine and sunny in Christchurch to-day, with a moderate easterly breeze. The maximum temperature was 57.5 degrees.
