■» —- THREE ARRESTS IN POLICE RAID SENTENCE POSTPONED (Per United Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, Oct. 11. Charged with carrying on the business of bookmaking, Frederick Charles Hawke, John Edward Shore, and Francis James Patterson were arrested during a police raid on Saturday afternoon. ‘ The defendants pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court to-day and sentence was postponed.
