THE OTAGO LAND BOARD
TO THE EDITOR Sir, —I understand that a meeting of the Land Board will be held on Wednesday of this week, and it will be very interesting indeed to see what action will be taken in reference to a transfer of a property that was sold at public auction in Dunedin last week. This is a place of 1300 acres, a small grazing run, at present carrying 500 sheep, and the price realised at auction was £7250. The board on numerous occasions, especially during the last year or two, has refused to grant transfers when it considered the value too high, and quite rightly; but what is it going to do in this particular case. This is a matter that caused much controversy, and it will be most interesting to all parties concerned to see what attitude the board takes up. l think that the Minister of Lands should be made acquainted of the facts or this particular sale, and I am suie that he would have something to say. -I am. etc.. Interested.
