FAREWELL SOCIAL

PRESENTATION TO THE REV. F. V. FISHER The youth organisations connected with St, Mary’s Church met on Monday evening at a farewell social in honour of the Rev. F. V. Fisher. Tnere was a large attendance, over 100 being present. During the evening Mr Fisher was presented with an embossed leather visiting case and Mrs Fisher was presented with a bouquet. Misses Nancy and June Fisher were presented with autograph books. Mr F. Farrant, superintendent of the Sunday School, and Miss O. Cartwright spoke of the excellent work the vicar had done for the younger children, and Miss M. Smith, Miss M. Ryalls, and Mr F. Waymouth expressed their appreciation of the various Bible classes for the inspiration and assistance Mr Fisher had given them. Games, competitions and dancing were indulged in, and Miss Hope Birt played a piano medley.
