AUCKLAND TO WELLINGTON

INAUGURAL CEREMONIES ARRANGED (Per UxNited Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 22. Ceremonies'to mark the inauguration of the Auckland-Wellington air service of Union Airways of New Zealand, Ltd., on Saturday will take place at the northern terminal of the route, the Mangere Aerodrome. Before the departure of the southbound airliner at 10 o'clock, the aeroplane, probably the Kotare, one of the new Lockheeds, will be named by the Mayor of Auckland (Sir Ernest Davis), and the service will be formally inaugurated by the Minister of Defence (Mr F. Jones). Two special flights have been arranged by the company to take the guests from Auckland and Wellington respectively to Palmerston North, where a luncheon will be held. There will also be a brief ceremony at New Plymouth en route.
