CONCILIATION PROCEEDINGS COMPLETE AGREEMENT REACHED (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 21. A complete settlement in the dispute between the Merchant Service Guild and the coastal shipping companies was reached in the Conciliation Council before Mr M. J. Reardon to-day. The minimum wages agreed upon, on a monthly basis for vessels between 601 and 1000 tons, are as follows: —Master, £43 10s; chief officer, £27 10s; second, £23 10s; third, £22; vessels from 101 to 600 tons —master £4l 10s; chief officer £26 10s; second £22 Is 9d, third £22; northern industrial district, 25 to 100 tons—master £4O 9s 6d, chief officer £26 10s, second £22 10s; 101 to 250 tons—master £39 6s 6d; chief officer, £26 10s; second £22 10s; 51 to 100 tons—master £34 15s 6d; 30 to 50 tons —master £3O 10s; scows over 51 tons—master, £47; scows from 30 to SO tons — master £25; overtime, 3s 9d hourly after eight hours: three weeks’ annual holiday.
