OTAG® CLUB The first round of the Handicap Knock-out Competition for the Haggitt Cup was played on the Balmacewen links on Saturday afternoon. The following we're the results:—H. Brash defeated A. M. Cameron 4 and 3, D. M. Irvine defeated H. V. Lawry 5 and 4, B. S. Bevin defeated A. W. S. Ritchie 2 and 1. PORT CHALMERS CLUB The first round of the Women's Championship, played on the Port Chalmers golf links last Saturday, resulted in Mrs R. D. Paul defeating Miss Campbell 6 and 5, Mrs Whitson defeating Miss M. Jackson 6 and 5, Mrs Hunt defeating Mrs Lawson 5 and 4. Miss Brotherston and Miss Rose have still to play. The placings in the Sealed Hole Match were:— Miss Innes and Mrs Holey (equal) 1, Miss Rothwell 2, Miss Osborne 3. Miss Innes and Mrs Holey have to play off to decide the winner. BELLEKNOWES CLUB A Medal Match will be played on the Belleknowes golf links on Tuesday, commencing at 12.30 p.m. The draw is as follows:—Miss Jefferson v. Mrs Bullock, Mrs Cramond v. Mrs Duncan, Mrs Clulee v. Mrs Macpherson, Mrs M'Causland v. Miss Hindle, Mrs Lewis v. Mrs Mayall, Mrs Campbell v. Mrs Cartwright, Miss Wilkinson v. Mrs MTver, Miss Taylor v. Mrs Cowan, Mrs Benfield v. Mrs Wilson, Mrs Patterson v. Mrs Jenkinson, Mrs Daglish v. Mrs O'Reilly, Mrs Dunn v. Miss Long, Mrs Lucas v. Mrs Leihy. Mrs M'Phail v. Mrs Maxted.
The following are the results of the second round of match play in the club and junior championships, played on the Belleknowes golf links during the week-end:—Senior: R. M'lver beat J. Cartwright 4 and 3, A. Darling beat R. Penman 5 and 4, E. Lucas beat M. Connors 7 and 6, R. Hood beat E. Olsen 2 up. Junior: E. King beat E. Bastings 1 up at the twenty-first, W. Wilkinson beat H. Lawless 4 and 2. A. Hindle beat G. Abbott 4 and 2.
