CLUB ROOMS RAIDED FIFTY-FIVE MEN ARRESTED (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 19. Fifty-five men were arrested last night when social club rooms in the city were raided. They were bailed out after being taken to the police station, and the majority appeared in the Police Court to-day. Harry Williams, a seaman, aged 42, was charged with using the premises as a common gaming house, and was remanded until Monday next, as also were the men charged with being found on the premises, with the exception of live who failed to appear. These were fined the amount of their bail. £5 each, in default 14 days' imprisonment.
