(Received June 18, at 11 p.m.) Following President Roosevelt’s approval of the recommendation, Miss Frances Perkins appointed a special board to mediate in the steel strike. Mr Lloyd Garrison, a former chairman of the Federated Labour Board, Mr Charles Taft, a son of the former President, and Mr M’Grady will sit in Cleveland and make an investigation and arbitrate on the issues if the parties are willing.
