A BOXER’S CONFIDENCE
STATEMENT BY BRADDOCK WILL KNOCK LOUIS OUT CHICAGO, June 17. (Received June 18, at 9.30 p.m.) Braddock, in a statement, said: “ I look for a good, tough fight. Perhaps it will be the hardest of my career, and I may even be knocked down a couple of times, but I will get up and knock out Louis in eight rounds or less." The champion boxed five rounds with five sparring partners and hammered them viciously with short, left hooks, but' he missed frequently with looping rights. Louis boxed six rounds with three sparring partners, and appeared more lively than recently but was easily hit by rights. Observers feel that he is not the same superb fighter he was before his fight with Schmeling.
