ELECTION OF OFFICE-BEARERS CONTROL OF IMPORTS DESIRED (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 18. The importation into New Zealand of honey was discussed at the conference of the National Beekeepers’ Association, and a remit was carried asking for Government control of all imports. Several delegates spoke of the danger of apiary diseases being introduced. The conference decided to ask for a rebate on heavy traffic fees on trucks used by beekeepers for carrying apiary products. The following officers were elected: —President, Mr L. F. Robin (Temuka); vice-president, Mr E. A. Field (Foxton): executive members —Messrs G. Kirker (Taranaki), T. Pearson (Hamilton), C. R. Paterson (Oamaru),-and L. K. Griffin (Southland).
