"BAD IMPRESSION"
NEW ZEALAND PUBLICITY COMPLAINT FROM ENGLAND (Per United Press Association) HASTINGS, June 17. Criticism of the methods by which publicity is given to New Zealand in England is contained in a letter received by Mr Nicol Lumsden, of Hastings, from a friend in, Llandudno, Wales. "We are told that there is no room for anyone else in New Zealand." said the writer, in referring to a visit to New Zealand House, "and that you had enough unemployed over there as it was Then we mentioned taking capital into the country, and they told us that we would be almost sure to lose anything we had. If we did not write to many people and know differently we would have believed that New Zealand was going 'broke and was almost on the verge of civil revolt, and that your Government was going out fast. I thought it poor policy to have people like that ih an information bureau, as it gives a very bad impression to people on this side."
