TAIERI BOWLING CLUB
ANNUAL MEETING Mr F. Bradley presided at the annual meeting of the Taieri Bowling Club. The annual report and balance sheet showed a credit of £ls Os 7Jd. The following office-bearers were elected: — President, Mr F. Bradley; vice-presi-dent, Mr F. Smeaton; secretary and treasurer, Mr H. M‘L. Johnstone; selector, Mr W. Allan; General Committee—Messrs J. Murray, R. Gibson, J. Starkey, and C. Woodward; Green Committee, Messrs Bradley and W. B. Allan; cfelegate to Dunedin Centre, Mr W. R. Howard; auditor, Mr A. F. Quelch: Social Committee—Messrs J. Starkey, S. Stratton, W. Christie, and S. M'Millan. The club decided to play 6 rinks in the Saturday club competition, and also to enter for the Four-rink and Adess Shield competitions. It was decided to get a price for the plumbing work on the pavilion. Several members expressed their willingness to form a working bee and paint the building. . . . One new member was elected. An application for a donation to funds for the King George V Memorial Fund was declined, owing to shortage of funds. , . , An acknowledgment of a message of sympathy in his bereavement was received from Mr C. B. Thomson. The Dunedin Bowling Centre forwarded a list of names of defaulters in three Dunedin clubs, and also directed attention to clauses 33 to 3i of the constitution and rules of the centre concerning defaulters and their suspension from playing or membership.
