“THE LONG ACRE.”
ro THE EDITOB Sir,—l wish to draw attention to the large number of wandering cows in Outram. This nuisance has been going on for some time now and it does not seem to be anyone’s business to put a stop to it. Surely the Town Board has some responsibility in the matter It saw fit some time ago to dispense with the ranger’s services, and since then the cows have been in possession. My olearia hedge has come in for particular attention, gardens have been raided, and streets polluted. If this Town Board were amalgamated with the Taieri County Council we should have the protection of a permanent ranger.—l am, etc,, Eaten Out. Outram,, May 31. rO THE EDITOB Sir, —I write to draw the attention of persons having the authority to prevent this nuisance to the interference with all traffic on the main highway between Allanton and Otokia. Somebody is daily obstructing the traffic by herding and grazing large numbers of cows with no consideration for traffic —I am, etc., Annoyed Farmer, Allanton, May 31.
