BASKETBALL
SATURDAY'S MATCHES
ALBANY 111 v. GIRLS' HIGH SCHOOL The match between Albany 111 and G.H.S. was a very fast one, and even though the game eventually ended with the score standing at 15—7, High School had much the better of the game in the first half. Albany improved in the second: but it could not make up High School's lead. ALBANY II v. Y.W.C.A. Neither team came up to the expected standard, the play being very ragged. Albany's centre players proved definitely superior to the Y.W.C.A. centre players, who seemed to lose interest in the game. The final score, 12—6 in favour of Albany, was a fair indication of the game. ALBANY I v. J. R. M'KENZIES Albany I proved too strong for J. R. M'Kenzies, who, however, despite overwhelming odds, succeeded in playing an attractive game throughout. When half time was called Albany I led by 9 goals to 3. the final score being *22—B in its favour. SECOND GRADE Woolworths 9, Kiwi 8. ' Triumph 27, Rawhiti 8.
