Following a period of uninteresting play, Alhambra worked right down to its opponents' line, where from a scrum Sinclair threw out a pass to Broadfoot, who dived over at the corner. Frood missed with the kick. A minute later Murray, the Taieri centre three-quarter, broke away from a melee at the Alhambra twenty-five and outpaced the opposition to score under the posts. Waldron missed the kick. Alhambra 16 points. Taieri 8 points. Just before time Flint dived over from a scramble near the Taieri line. The kick at goal failed, the game ending with the scores: Alhambra .. 19 points. Taieri 8 points. Mr L. Wright was the referee.
