Won by a length, with three-quarters of a length between second and third Time, lmin 27sec. Odilion was third in the Granville Stakes, Philight was unplaced in the Juvenile Second Division, The Raider was unplaced in the Rosehill Handicap, and Silver Coat fell in the Maiden Hurdle Handicap. Last year's Grand National Steeplechase winner. Santa Casa. won the Commonwealth Steeplechase in brilliant style.
