THE DUKE'S WEDDING
CEREMONY REHEARSED NO MENTION OF OBEYING MONTS, May 27. The Duke of. Windsor and Miss Warfield rehearsed their wedding ceremony before the Mayor of Monts, with whom they joked about their French. The Mayor, interviewed later, said Miss Warfield spoke French perfectly; the Duke of Windsor well, but not as fluently as Miss Warfield.
The Mayor revealed that during the rehearsal no mention was made of a wife obeying her husband.
