RACING IN AUSTRALIA
VICTORIA PARK MEETING (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) SYDNEY, May 26. (Received May 26. at 11 p.m.) The last two races at the Victoria Park meeting to-day went to New Zealanders. Odilion 8.7 won the second division of the Encourage Handicap by a length and a-half f rom Kirrang (Kirrang was also second in an earlier race), while Improvement had a four lengths victory over Irish Morn in the Victoria Park Handicap. Riposte and Jubilee Singer were unplaced in the first division of the Encourage Handicap. Maori Maid was unplaced in the second division of the 14.2 Handicap. Hands Up was unplaced in the Welter Handicap, which was won by Topical. WILLIAMSTOWN MEETING (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) MELBOURNE, May 26. (Received May 26, at 11 p.m.) At the Williamstown races to-day Wherenside was unplaced in the Fund Handicap, which was won by Brilliant Son. Silver Bond was third in the Maiden Plate, which was won by Gold Chief and in which Gay Songster was unplaced. Gay Sheila was unplaced in the Welter Handicap. RACING IN AUSTRALIA WEIGHTS FOR V.R.C. Weights for the Victoria Racing Club's meeting:— Grand National Hurdle Race (to be run on July 3).—Pooleybridge top weight with 12.5, Fulham 10.7. Brillianr Sun 10.6, the New Zealanders Cape Race 9,11. Sanguine King 9.7. and Midacre 9.0. Grand National Steeplechase (to be run on July 10).—Pooleybridge top weight with 12.7, Fulham 11.0, Seymour 10.12, Santacasa, Triteleia 10.10. and the New Zealander Midacre 9.5.
