GUARANTEED PRICE

FIXATION FOR THREE YEARS BELIEF IN DAIRY INDUSTRY (Special ro Daily Times) AUCKLAND, May 26. According to usually well-informed opinion in the dairy produce industry, the Government at present proposes to fix the guaranteed prices for dairy produce exported after July 31, 1937, foi a term of three years, and not for one year only. Although section 20 (1) of the Primary Products Marketing Act provides that* the price to be paid by the Crown in respect of dairy produce exported from New Zealand shall from time to time be fixed by the Governor-General by Order-in-Council. there is nothing in the legislation to suggest that the fixation should be an annual one.
