NEW VEHICULAR FERRY

(Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND, April 10. The first Diesel-engined ferry boat to be added to the fleet of the Devonport Steam Ferry Company, Ltd., a vehicular boat similar to the Eaglehnwk, but both larger and faster, is to be built in Auckland shortly. The new boat, which will be powered by a 400 horse-power Diesel engine, will be the first of her kind in New Zealand, and it is estimated that she will be capable of more than 10 knots. The craft will be 140 feet long, with a beam of 84 feet, and a draught of eight ieet.
