THE SINGAPORE BASE
COMPLETION WITHIN SIGHT (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, Feb. 7. The First Lord of the Admiralty, in a speech at Bradford, said the completion of Singapore base was well within sight. It would be of immeasurable value to Australia, New Zealand and India. It was intended that Singapore should be the most up-to-date naval base in the world, but it was aimed at no country in any continent.
